French Friday GiveAway
Announcement
This month's winner is:
Your number was drawn
and now all you have to do is
email me your post box or address
to receive your French Friday gifts.
How's your week ending?
Are you still shopping, wrapping, baking?
Take time to enjoy this time of year.
Lend a hand or donate when you can.
We are fortunate, most of us, others are not.
I surprise gift a complete stranger each year.
It may be paying for their groceries
or a purchase ahead of me.
It's not a big purchase
but I can tell when someone needs a little help.
You should see the look on their face.
It all started with shopping in a local Goodwill one year.
Here my basket was full of vintage
Christmas ornaments and decorations
and
the older man in front of me didn't have
enough money to pay for his warm clothes.
He had a nice stack on the counter and
was going through them
to decide which pieces to give back.
I smiled and asked the man, may I?
as I handed the cashier the money
for his entire purchase.
It changed my life.
That sweet man thanked me, the cashier thanked me
and everyone in line smiled.
Spread some happiness this season.
You will have the memory forever.
With love, Rhonda

Rhonda,
What a sweet gesture, a good reminder of what this season and every season should be about!
Have a blessed one my friend!
xo,
Gail
That's what it's all about, and people don't realize that THEY'RE the ones who get the gift in return for such generosity...Bless you!
You are a Christmas angel dear Rhonda!
I already knew what a generous spirited human being you are.
Taking it to the next level - as you do, and actually make a difference in someone else's life is what the true meaning of Christmas is. Bless you.

Wonderful gesture!Wonderful idea! I love random acts of kindness - you have inspired to do something lovely today! Thank you so much!
Rhonda, you truly practiced what
God expects from us! What a wonderful thing for you to do.
Now that is the giving spirit!
Your heart is BIG and you changed not only your life that day but his and hopefully all the people who saw you do this passed it on as well.
The feeling you get from giving is like no other. We used to make blankets and go to the worst part of town where people line the streets in cardboard boxes, we would hand them to people as we drove by. I will never forget when a young man came over and thought he was too late to get one, his face just dropped, I said excuse me this is the last one, just for you...I have never seen a face so happy in all my life. It was like he just received a bag of gold.
From that day on, I knew every year what this season was for. Not who has the most decorated home or presents under the over the top tree. No, its helping out others in need. I hope all remember the reason why we celebrate this time of year.
Happy Holidays Rhonda
Amy
Such a wonderful gesture dear Rhonda, that is what love is all about, sweetie.
Congratulations to the winner, I wish it had been me..
Hugs, Dorthe
Congratulations and best wishes for a happy Christmas to Connie.
Rhonda may you have the blessed Christmas that you deserve.
Hugs Alveen
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful tradition with us. I shared my "free" Starbucks a couple of weeks ago (it was BOGO) with a guy behind me and although it cost me nothing, he must have thanked me 3 times (everytime he saw me in the grocery around the next bend). He really appreciated it and it made me feel so good to make him feel cared for. I'm going to try to slow down and pay attention to those around me and see if I can't follow your lead and pay it forward for someone else in the near future.
Be blessed my friend,
Judy
You not only made that person's Christmas with your kind gesture but also made mine a little bit happier with this win! What a sweet, generous and caring person you are Rhonda. I'm going to remember your story and look for ways that I can pay it forward too.
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
~~ Connie
We give money to many charities and I shop along with my own food shopping for a local food bank run by our Dr. I have heard of doing what you do and I think I will just do that. Especially when someone really looks like they could use a helping hand.
This is very kind of you and someday you will be repaid in kind.
Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year.
Hugs

Love this post! thank you for sharing it! It's a great reminder. We can all do something!
Rhonda what a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do! We usually select names from a giving tree and help out the less fortunate. This year is the first year we haven't been able to do so. It makes me sad! HHopefully the coming year will be better for everyone!
Congrats to Connie for your lovely win, She will be thrilled.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Rhonda,
I love your story of helping others. You are so right, that is what this season is all about. Love. My kids love to give money to the Salvation Army person ringing the bell in front of Wal-mart & he loves letting them each ring the bell in return. I think they are begining to see that the joy of Christmas is giving.
And speaking of giving, congrats to Connie for winning your beautiful give-away.
Happy Holidays
