Treasuring Hunting & A Few New Creations

While attending a weekend wedding back east,
we made time to search out antique stores.

Treasure hunting is always on my mind.

I bought this religious font and another wonderful piece for a friend.
I must have walked by it three times until it finally caught my eye.
Never shop in a hurry.
I even found tattered antique French books - which really surprised me.

Most pages were written on but I salvaged quite a few.

************
Here's a peak at my recent creations.

Okay...enough studio time...I'm jumping back in the pool!!!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone!

Cheers, Rhonda

  2. Rhonda, the Holy Water Font that you 'scored' is Divine! I agree, Shopping Leisurely ensures you don't overlook things. I too am always Hunting... you never know when a Found Treasure will reveal and present itself. Some of my most Cherished Finds have been by Serendipity.

Your Creations are so Lovely and your Palette so Serene.

  3. Beautiful shopping dear Rhonda - YES I would definitely have grabbed the Holy water font too - it's divine!!
LOve all the new pieces you've made.

When I'm with the family I find brocante shopping très difficile!
I like to linger to make sure I don't miss a treasure - not easy with littlies in tow!
Make the most of your pool while the weather lasts.

So glad you joined me for dinner mon amie - you made my day!

  10. Isn't funny how we think our eyes are lighting on all treasures until we make one more go around and find the perfect thing? I know I'm guilty of that one! The font is just a jewel and the books would definitely be in hands! Thanks for sharing all your treasures... did you find the east coast reasonable? I'm always afraid they wouldn't be.
