Pere LaChaise Memories on Halloween

What better time than on Halloween
to share my Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise images
from my trip to France.

Jim Morrison's grave was the most crowded.

Actually, it wasn't spooky at all...it is a huge cemetery filled with so many famous artists.
Edith Piaf, Chopin, Balzac, Jim Morrison, to name a few...
We had lunch around the corner and jumped back on the Metro.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Halloween has many happy childhood memories for me.
What is it about a bag of candy that makes a kid so happy?
Spreading the candy out on our bedroom floor,
my sister and I would sort and trade.

Keeping the east coast in our prayers.

  2. Hello
It might not be spooky but there is a sense of the Gothic to it.
TFS your personal photographs with us and have a Happy Halloween.

  3. I haven't been there for years. Some of those tombs are quite pretty. My Grandfather is buried there in one of those gothic tombs. As a child I thought they looked like tiny houses. Happy Halloween to you. :)

Way cool post and very cool pics you took. I must put this on the top of my "to-do" list for the next Paris trip. My friend Misty, who travels there often, loves to take photographs in the cemetary also. I always love to see her beautiful photos with the details on the tombstones. Love this post and how perfect for today :~)

  10. Your photos of the Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise are beautiful dear Rhonda - how wonderful you saved them for All Hallows Eve - so appropriate.
The headstones and mausaleums are incredible aren't they.

This is the best 'Halloween' post I've seen and I love how you and your sister traded lollies - so sweet!
