White Wednesday Create From Your Heart

 I don't know about you
there are days I look around my studio
cannot come up with one idea!

Considering all of the supplies in this room
I am shocked and become even more distracted.
Seems it's all been done before.
Seems there isn't anything new and exciting in here.

Sometimes, it's just that you need a break....
you need to really take a good look at all you have.
Re-appreciate it.

Go through an old box, an old basket...you might see it.

If you ever need a lift me up....I'm right there with you.
You are not alone.
We hoard lace, jewelry pieces, we stack books & bottles,
we collect everything that touches our hearts.
Then... we don't know what to do with it or where to start.

Try to clear your mind and take a walk, run, swim, take a class,
whatever clears your mind.

Trust me, it will happen.
You will come back around.
And when it does....
create from your heart.

Thank you to all my followers!
It amazes me daily that you are here.
Know you are appreciated, you really are.

  1. LOVE this post because its so true! We have so much and when our muse takes a little mini vaca for herself we start to feel guilty.....love your latest creations my dear!

  2. Dear Rhonda,
that is exactly how I feel at the moment:)Merci for posting it and happy WW.Love your new creations.

  3. So true. Sometimes I think I will never be able to be creative again and then it all comes flooding back ... M x

  4. Wonderful post. It is good to know that this happens to others, too. It is just that we forget it is only natural and will pass.

  5. I thought it was just me.
    Your blog is gorgeous.

  6. Rhonda, I know exactly the feeling, especially when we have "real" lives that demand our time and carry our thoughts elsewhere. I think you are such an inspiration to me and others, and you have a unique style that is truly your signature! I'm totally the same way, sometimes I think, OK is this all I have left to make and should I just give up, but thank goodness for blogland where we can get inspiration from so much talent! xo's Pam

  7. Great post. I love all of the pretties!

  8. Rhonda, such true words you write. We have all been there and what we need to do is relax and not force it.
    Beautiful as ever.

  9. oh so know what you are talking about.
Even going in to clean my studio is fruitless...well not really fruitless....but let's say I do not get much done.

I sit and look at old buttons, keys, books and all my treasures....and usually do not get far....
    But there is tomorrow....=)

blessings and thanks for such an up front post.

  10. I'm more of an admirer than a creator, and I want to thank you for the gorgeous photos of your lovely treasures!♥

  11. As I am getting ready to travel to a retreat, I am faced with the same sentiments! All these trips to the flea markets and yet, I feel I don't have the right thing I need to take with me. Now that doesn't make sense!! LOL It's reassuring to read your post and know that I am not alone. That with all that hoarding, I *do* have the right thing.. I just need to step back and really look at it all. It's there, for sure!!

  12. Isn't that the truth - I love this post Rhonda. So many times I go into my sewing room and touch this or that, looking here and there for any inspiration I can find.
And as you say, have to trust that it will come eventually....

  13. Thanks so much for this beautiful post. I like hearing it when someone puts my feelings into words.
I know most of us have been totally uninspired at one time or another and wondering why--I am just glad to know that "it" does come back--Time is so short and it is hard to feel like I am wasting time. Again thanks for the lovely post.

  14. Great post, Rhonda...and so true! I'm a collector also, I collect far too many things and believe me I know what you are talking about:)

Wishing you a wonderful, art-filled weekend!

  15. Yes, taking a breather, a step back to recharge our creative energies is so essential. We all hit dry patches now and again, but when you're an artist who has a deep inner need to create, you can be sure it will come back to you. Thanks for this delicious, and honest post.....your work is beautiful, I've admired it since I started blogging in 2010.

  17. Dearest Rhonda,
    yes-yes-yes.... I am so with you, -
all the beauty we can`t leave behind, so often stayes for years in boxes and drawers- we eighter don`t know what to use it for, or can`t take it over our hearts to use it-lol.
I know I will soon see fantastic creations, from you again, we all need to be refilled sometimes.
    Hugs from me,

I hope you found some inspiration today.
