Romantic Creations

Using the same romantic image found at The Graphics Fairy I've seemed to been more inspired than I ever thought.

Printing this image on fabric paper and using vintage fabric scraps I recently found in a storage basket, I've managed to make some wonderful gift pouches and a romantic blank journal.

Ah, Romance, what have you done to me?

Ooh La La Marie Antoinette

I simple adore Marie Antoinette - I cannot wait to walk through Versaille in April - I'm having visions of gardens and her Petite Trianon - it hasn't hit me yet, I'm really going to France.

Needless to say, I've been inspired to create more Marie items. The hair, the gowns, the shoes, the colors, I have a sincere romance with her and her style. Most days we throw on our jeans and a t-shirt, can you even imagine how long it took Marie to get dressed? Gotta love it.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful and creative weekend  xoxoxoxo Rhonda

Parlez-vous Francais?

Once I saw this gorgeous image from The Graphics Fairy - I knew I would love to create with it. Adding 3 different crocheted laces and trims, I covered a 4.25 inch round wood box and filled it with doilies and a rhinestone crown pin.

Thank you Karen from The Graphics Fairy, you made this Parisgal very happy!

I'm linking up to Faded Charm's White Wednesday this week, I haven't done that in months!

A Little Bit French Embellishments

Using my laces from France and French words on cardstock, I created flowing ribbons mixed with a pendant dangling from a necklace chain - for your art, for your lampshade, for your door handle - for anywhere you see fit.  You can even wear the pendant as a necklace.

My fingers were busy this past I have some blog reading to catch up on.

Amour and a Mess

Last week I was busy making more of my altered bottles.

By Friday my work table was piled high with laces, glues, rhinestones, ribbons, I could not find an inch of table that wasn't taken. It took me hours of cleaning up but I did it and I loved it.

It gave me the opportunity to decide what works and what doesn't work on my table.

Oh, it's nice to have everything at your fingertips but a larger, clear workspace is more important.

A supply box full of my French inspired fabric labels comes in handy

I love this shabby box, it holds ephemera and cabinet cards at the moment
Some items I need to see while I am working

Close to my heart items, as the top of my display shelves changes from time to time
Merci, Mon Amies, for all your support and kind comments. Have a wonderful weekend, Rhonda

La French Opera Journals

When I found a damaged vintage French Opera book filled with beautiful music sheets while thrifting, I'm pretty sure I made a scene.

Even though it was damaged, it was stressful to tear the pages out to use in my projects.

I don't read music or play music but these music sheets sing to my heart now.

Using a simple composition notebook, I covered them in the sheet music and layered laces, tied them up with flowing ribbons and added a touch of a rhinestone piece to each.

When you reach for a journal or notebook, choose something beautiful and see where it takes you.

La French Inspired Altered Bottles

Ooh La La, my new altered bottles.....I spent a glorious day embellishing my antique and vintage bottles.......pulling all the laces, labels, rhinestones, pearls, buttons and ribbons.....making sure everything looked just right.

My table looked like this all day for the sunlight to provide the natural light for the photo shoot. I must have taken over 100 photos.

It was a fabulous day that provided me hours of pleasure. I will keep creating these bottles until the basket is empty........

French Friday GiveAway

Happy French Friday GiveAway

This month's giveaway is one of my crocheted lace covered antique bottles. These sold out immediately last year, when I listed them in my shop. I've re-stocked my antique bottle supply - so get ready for more to be listed this weekend.  Take a deep breath Rosemary......for I have a bottle with your name already on it.

Good Luck Everyone and if you want a chance to win this bottle - all you have to do is leave a comment. That's it. If you would like to post something about it on your blog, I'd be delighted.

Winner is chosen by a simple name drawing from a box. It is my way of thanking the best bloggers I know of. A lot of my good friends tell me they read my blog, they keep up with my posts but don't blog themselves - therefore they never leave a comment. I thank you ladies, as well. I know you are out there.

Winner to be announced - February 14th - Valentine's Day - how sweet is that?

Have a fabulous day and weekend - I'll be happily creating bottles filled with love potion for Cupid to deliver. Cheers, Rhonda
