Using the same romantic image found at The Graphics Fairy I've seemed to been more inspired than I ever thought.

Printing this image on fabric paper and using vintage fabric scraps I recently found in a storage basket, I've managed to make some wonderful gift pouches and a romantic blank journal.

Ooh La La Marie Antoinette

I simple adore Marie Antoinette - I cannot wait to walk through Versaille in April - I'm having visions of gardens and her Petite Trianon - it hasn't hit me yet, I'm really going to France.

Needless to say, I've been inspired to create more Marie items. The hair, the gowns, the shoes, the colors, I have a sincere romance with her and her style. Most days we throw on our jeans and a t-shirt, can you even imagine how long it took Marie to get dressed? Gotta love it.

Parlez-vous Francais?

Once I saw this gorgeous image from The Graphics Fairy - I knew I would love to create with it. Adding 3 different crocheted laces and trims, I covered a 4.25 inch round wood box and filled it with doilies and a rhinestone crown pin.

A Little Bit French Embellishments

Using my laces from France and French words on cardstock, I created flowing ribbons mixed with a pendant dangling from a necklace chain - for your art, for your lampshade, for your door handle - for anywhere you see fit.  You can even wear the pendant as a necklace.

My fingers were busy this past weekend.....now I have some blog reading to catch up on.

Amour and a Mess

Last week I was busy making more of my altered bottles.

By Friday my work table was piled high with laces, glues, rhinestones, ribbons, I could not find an inch of table that wasn't taken. It took me hours of cleaning up but I did it and I loved it.

 It gave me the opportunity to decide what works and what doesn't work on my table.

Oh, it's nice to have everything at your fingertips but a larger, clear workspace is more important.

La French Opera Journals

When I found a damaged vintage French Opera book filled with beautiful music sheets while thrifting, I'm pretty sure I made a scene.

Even though it was damaged, it was stressful to tear the pages out to use in my projects.



I don't read music or play music but these music sheets sing to my heart now.



Using a simple composition notebook, I covered them in the sheet music and layered laces, tied them up with flowing ribbons and added a touch of a rhinestone piece to each.

When you reach for a journal or notebook, choose something beautiful and see where it takes you.

La French Inspired Altered Bottles

Ooh La La, my new altered bottles.....I spent a glorious day embellishing my antique and vintage bottles.......pulling all the laces, labels, rhinestones, pearls, buttons and ribbons.....making sure everything looked just right.

My table looked like this all day for the sunlight to provide the natural light for the photo shoot. I must have taken over 100 photos.

It was a fabulous day that provided me hours of pleasure. I will keep creating these bottles until the basket is empty........
