Those In Between Holidays Days

Oh, how I love these in between holidays days...
I found time to create and loved every minute of it
Surrounded by antique French documents
French images and holy cards
I also decided to "age" some already vintage brass bezels
Creating a new line of pendants
Sometimes the most time consuming creations
turn out the best!
Aged and tarnished
Soon to be in my Etsy shop.
Which one do you fancy?

A Few Finishing Touches

The house is quiet
the tree is lit
Soon our home will be filled
friends and family
Yet my heart misses my family back home,
especially this Christmas season...
but I know we will be together real soon
and we'll catch up, while laughing at everyone's stories.
I am happy knowing
that family love keeps us strong.
Let your heart be light...
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful season!

Gifts Between Friends

What tugs at our hearts is a mystery to me.
How simple gifts between friends
can add up to a whole lot of love, is a beauty in itself.
Last weekend I ran across some soft squares of folded cloth,
given to me by a good friend.
Because it reminded me of a book,
I created a petite book with pockets to hold your treasures.
Unfolding to reveal two more scapulars
Folding up to one small keepsake
Created with the help of a very sweet friend.

A Simple Plan

I would like to think I have a simple plan
this wonderful holiday season.
As I sit in my studio on this rainy day,
I find bits & pieces of a simple ornament idea,
that is beautiful enough to wear.
Ribbons and pendants to wrap around a gift or a candle.
 Golden warm colors
to keep your home inviting.
Pendants that can worn as a necklace,
displayed as an ornament
adorn a candle or gift.
Keeping it simple and very useful.

Soon in my shop!

Surrounded by Greys

I adore my greys.
So when I find shabby wood frames, I snap them up.
Just the right amount of grey & color.
When my good friend Amy
created this embroidered piece,
I knew it was a keeper!
I added a very small religious pin recently found on Etsy
Some recent finds...
Shopping at Tracey's French Larkspur Shop,
I found this French pin.
Greys and Greige - my favorite colors
A found prop (a cage) at a retail store!
How rare and now I keep an eye out
for such finds during my
non antique & vintage store shopping.
This sweet grey cage caught my eye.
Oh, this will come in handy.
A very happy Grey Dey Thursdey
